Fredericksburg Bound

This is such a good time of year for me, because Mike doesn't have much fishing. This weekend, we decided to come to Fredericksburg for the heck of it. I guess also, because Thomas just loves to travel in the "RVV". Mike came home early from work and we headed out about 2:00. Thomas fell right to sleep, so of course I couldn't miss a good nap! We slept for 3 hours. Niiiiice. We didn't expect the trip to take quite as long as it did though. With traffic and the rain, we didn't arrive until about 8:30. Our RV park is really nice and we were able to get a full hookup. This makes me very happy. I get to run the water all I want and not worry about filling up the tanks!

As soon as we got here, we all got out and checked out the park. We didn't get very far though, cause Thomas and his John Deere ("Gon Dee") truck parked themselves in the nearest gravel lot. The sun was going down and one of our neighbors was playing Willie. All I needed was a margarita. Whiskey is happy to be with us since he missed the last RV trip. He enjoyed his stay with Maggie and David though!

It got dark, so we headed back to the "RVV". I gave Thomas a bath, and he bathed his truck and trailer. He even went to bed tonight without his shoes on! (He has had a major hang up for the last several weeks about having his shoes on at all times. "Go non!" We have chosen our battle and have decided to put him to bed with his old dirty shoes on each night. Tonight, just socks!!! Clean socks.

Sour Milk and Bike Racks

My Sweet Little Thomas. Momma is so sorry that I poisoned you today with sour milk. :-( I picked you up from Grandma's and when we got home, you had some "meeelk" before your nap, and when you woke up, you were hot with fever. I thought you had gotten a cold or something, so I was getting worried. I gave you some Tylenol and you wanted me to hold you, so we snuggled up on the couch and watched some tv. Then all of a sudden, you sat up and unloaded that belly all over my lap. Then I put you on the wood floor (off the rug) and you threw up again. You were so funny cause as soon as you did that, you seemed just fine and you said, "Clean Up". You have read your "Curious George Cleans Up" book so often that I guess you thought this was the same as spilling grape juice on the rug. ;-) I got both of us and the floor cleaned up and you were back to my normal little happy boy. I'm still not sure why the milk was bad, because I bought it yesterday and it doesn't expire until the 11th. I guess I should start smelling the milk more often. I'm just happy you are ok. After you went to REI with Daddy, you let me rock you to sleep tonight. You have NEVER let me do that before, so maybe I'll give you rotten milk more often. ;-) Here you are sleeping now... Whiskey and I just sneaked in your room and took this. Sweet dreams!

Mike and Thomas went to REI tonight to buy a bike rack for the little car. We're headed to Fredericksburg tomorrow in the RV, and we're going to tow the car and the bikes behind us. It should be a really fun trip! I told Mike that the bike rack looks so "official". ;-) Here's a picture of it. I still love my beat up old Cannondale. We bought the Trek bike so Thomas could ride with us. It has been the most comfortable and best bike. Thomas just loves to ride!

Our Little Disney Mouse

Mike, Thomas, and I took our first trip to Disney World together. Mike's sister, Deborah planned the entire trip for us. She and Brad and Bryson and Jessica all packed in the RV with us, and we headed to Orlando. We were there for about 7 days, and it was the MOST FUN! It was so nice having the RV, because we would take it to the park during the day and when Thomas needed a nap or (Momma needed a nap), we could just walk right out to the air conditioned RV (or RVV as Thomas says) and chill out for a while. The first day was a slow start because Thomas and the stroller didn't "agree" if you know what I mean. Mike had the brilliant idea to just brave the park without the stroller and everything went smoothly from there. Thomas got to run wild, and Mike and I got some snuggle lovin' when Thomas wanted to be held. We went to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. We had several breakfasts with the characters and Jessica got her hair and nails done in the Castle. Deborah and I both took tons of pictures and videos, so I'm hoping to get some of the best ones posted here pretty soon. I'll add more stories about the trip as I post them. Here are a couple of my favorite videos from the trip. Hope you enjoy them!

Thomas Dancing to the Drum Beat at Animal Kingdom
Thomas is so funny when he hears music. His way of dancing is to move his head back and forth sometimes to the beat... and sometimes not. He did this little dance a lot while we were at Disney World. Funny little boy.

Thomas in the RV Watching Daddy's Fishing Show
Thomas had taken a nap in the RV at Animal Kingdom. When he woke up Daddy gave him some cereal and they watched his online fishing show.

Poo Face at the Castle
We were all enjoying our breakfast with the characters at the Castle at Magic Kingdom. Then we noticed Thomas sitting at the head of the table with a certain "poo face". For some reason this always kills me. We all had a good laugh. I couldn't keep the camera steady since I was laughing so hard. I just can't imagine what it must be like to go to the bathroom on the spot like that. Guess I'm glad I'm not a toddler!

The Joy of Running
Thomas was such a good little boy and sat through the entire hour and a half Cirque du Soleil La Nouba show. Daddy bought him a couple lollipops that certainly helped. ;-) After the show, he and his cousins, Bryson and Jessica, unleashed all their energy. Thomas ran around like crazy. It's so fun to see the pure joy he gets from the smallest things.

Go Back... to Disney World
Every night, by the end of the long fun day at Disney World, poor ol' Thomas would just lose it. This is a funny little interaction between Thomas and Mike's sister, Aunt Deborah.
